You start slow and wind your way
To the tops of our trees and driveways
Like soft cotton balls you gently drift
Falling all around in a gorgeous feat

In the morning you lay in peace
Covering the limbs of every tree
From left to right as far as I can see
Magical vision in an endless spree
I find it exhilarating to dig a path
From our doorway in a swath
Bit by bit I pick and move
Me and the shovel in a groove

In the end we rest and wonder
At your beauty near and yonder
Soon we will be eager for you to go
Till then we admire you wondrous snow
